High Quantum Yield Sensitization of Single Crystal TiO2 Electrodes with CsPbBr3 Nanocrystals

Abstract Lead halide perovskites are promising materials for solar cells and photodetectors. Nanocrystals of this family of perovskites also have distinct properties. In this study we report the attainment of high quantum yield sensitized photocurrents from stabilized CsPbBr 3 perovskite nanocrystals thermally evaporated onto doped single crystal rutile (110) TiO 2 electrodes. Sensitized photocurrent stabilization was achieved by capping the nanocrystals with a thin NiO x layer and a Au carrier transport and protection layers respectively as well as the judicious choice of solvent and electrolyte.
