Upcycling biomass to graphene at room temperature

Abstract A recent study published in Nature Sustainability by Guo, Stoddart, and coworkers reports a straightforward, sustainable, scalable, and efficient method to synthesize monolayer and multilayer reduced graphene oxide using a variety of biomass as the carbon source at room temperature, without a catalyst, under atmospheric pressure, and in ambient conditions through a one-step dehydration-condensation reaction.
